------------------------------------How different Chilcot on 29 September would have been had it faced a militant GEORGE DAVIS CAMPAIGN direct action demo smack bang inside his inquiry acquarium. That's what went down back in the mid 'Seventies at the Royal Courts of Justice when and court officers and big-wigs played mum, swallowed it and did nothing. It was amazing that the High Court sat like stiffs, the grapevine view was that they didn't want to take action that'd create additional publicity for the Davis Campaign.
A strong demo smack bang inside Chilcot on 29 January would have knocked for six the media obsession with Blair his showmanship and self composure. His and the media bubble would have been well and truly burst and the direct actionists would have stolen the media show. Easier said than done of course but it would have been a terrific morale booster. Regrets have been expressed - see here.
