A couple of posts ago (>>>see<<<) we cited the August South London Press quote from Pamela Holmes, head of Help the Aged on the plight of the elderly because Stockwell like elsewhere in London has a chronic shortage of Public Toilets - here is the Help the Aged statement again: "Toilet humor might be funny - but not being able to go out due to a lack of public toilets is a daily reality for MORE THAN HALF OF OLDER PEOPLE" (latter emphasis added). One elderly STOCKWELL CLAPHAM pensioner ventured forth today and got the "THISISLONDON "CAUGHT SHORT" LOOK". All the existing Clapham public toilets are of course now closed 24/7 - more relevant news on Thursday.
