ROUND-UPTrapesing from Liberty Street through the back doubles during the late Forties and early Fifties to eyeball Saturday morning cowboy flics at the then Granada Cinema Wandworth Road us kids sometimes had to survive hassle en route from other local yoof on nearby estates. We survived - none of us ended up brown bread. If we instead went to Saturday morning flics at the Stockwell Ritz we fared better (hassle wise). Altho' nowadays things might well be quite the opposite. Anyway last week the Wilcox Road Cherry Gang were very much in evidence and so numbers of 'em were duly rounded up. The gang HQ was also duly photographed. Operation Trident has been tipped off.
