BONE DRY EYES OVER DEMISE OF UNFORGETTABLY ARCH REACTIONARY WILLIAM REES-MOGG.

REES-MOGG was the editor of THE TIMES back in August 1975 when the East End based GEORGE DAVIS IS INNOCENT OK campaigners sabotaged the LEEDS HEADINGLEY TEST MATCH cricket wicket to draw massive and necessary and in the longer term hyper-effective attention to the massive injustice of a 20 years prison sentence imposed against very dodgy and unreliable criminal prosecution police identification evidence. The day after the sabotage THE TIMES - including editor REES-MOGG were the most reactionary printed media outlet. Indeed THE TIMES crime reporting staff suggested in print that the campaigners should be somehow corralled at Headingly without protection and should have cricket balls pelted at them - click HERE. One protester had been a woman - HERE - but so what huh? MOGG himself was hyper reactionary too - and even only about 3 years ago for a RADIO 4 GEORGE DAVIS CAMPAIGN documentary still maintained his ultra reactionary outlook towards the principled campaigners. Indeed Scotland Yard did announce at the time of Headingley that it would then investigate the allegations of wrongful conviction and even for that announcement the REES-MOGG bum wipe rag editorially criticized Scotland Yard. Bye bye unforgettable TIMES toff and good riddance.
